HQL Policies
· Student must arrive to the classroom 15 minutes before class is set to start
· Students who are more than 30 minutes late to class will have to reschedule their service for a different day
· Students will have 1 year after completing their HQL course to submit their application with the state of Maryland for approval
Concealed Carry Policies
· Student must arrive to the classroom 15 minutes before class is set to start

· Students will have 6 months after completing their CCW course to submit their application with the respective state
1-on-1 Training Polices
· Students must confirm the date and time of their training with their firearm instructor
· Students must arrive on time for their training. If running late students must communicate this with their instructor
· Students who are more than 30 minutes late will not be able to shoot on the original date

Maryland HQL Information
As of October 1, 2013, a Maryland Resident must possess a valid Handgun Qualification License (HQL) before he/she may purchase, rent, or receive a handgun. You do not need am HQL to own a gun you already have. A HQL is valid for 10 years once issued.
Who is EXEMPT from a HQL?
Those exempt from needing an HQL are active law enforcement officers or a person retired in good standing from a law enforcement agency of the United States (DC Metro Police Are Not Exempt), the State of Maryland, or a local enforcement agency in the State of Maryland.
OR
An active or retired member of the United States Armed Forces or National Guard that possesses a Valid Military Identification Card.
How Long does it take to get your approved HQL?
The application for a Handgun Qualification License (HQL) must be submitted online through the Maryland State Police Online Services Webpage. Completed applications take about 2-4 weeks to process and become active.
